Our Services
Your dental examination with the doctor will include the use of leading edge dental technologies. These technologies include the assistance of a dental laser used in detection of tooth decay, an intraoral camera to aid in diagnosis and patient communication and necessary radiographs to find areas that may require attention.
Advanced Procedures:
Esthetic Dentistry
The doctors have advanced training in esthetic dentistry. They annually attend continuing education courses on new procedures you may have seen on television or heard about in the media.
Cosmetic tooth-colored restorations
Cosmetic tooth-colored restorations are a wonderful alternative to the gold and silver fillings of the past. Using porcelain or composite resin, the doctors can restore damaged and decayed teeth to their natural beauty. Both types of material are long lasting and stronger because they are bonded to the teeth. These restorations can be smaller in size and therefore preserve tooth structure. Your teeth will be healthier and stronger while looking natural!
Cosmetic bonding
Cosmetic bonding is a procedure that uses a special tooth-colored plastic material to improve the color, shape and size of your teeth. A single tooth can be treated or your entire smile can be enhanced. Spaces, cracks, discoloration, and defective restorations can be corrected easily and effectively in one appointment. The teeth are prepared and the material is bonded and artistically shaped to give you a beautiful smile.
Veneers
Veneers are custom-made thin porcelain shells that are designed to cover the front side of teeth. Veneers are used to whiten and reshape teeth, correct spaces between teeth, correct chipped or cracked teeth, and may be used to straighten teeth that are slightly crooked. Porcelain veneers are a laboratory fabricated restoration that can change your smile within several weeks. The results being a dramatic new smile that will be brighter, straighter and more attractive.
Tooth whitening
Tooth whitening , also called bleaching, is a procedure that brightens teeth that are discolored, stained or have been darkened due to injury. To achieve a brighter new smile, the doctor fabricates a custom-fitted whitening tray from a dental impression, obtained at your first visit. At home, the trays are worn with the prescribed whitening gel for a total of five hours daily, for five days total. The result is a whiter and brighter smile.
Invisalign® Orthodontic Treatment
The doctors provide the latest in orthodontic treatment for adults and young adults. Dr. Grant and Dr. Jarvie have been certified to perform Invisalign® since it became available to general dentists. Invisalign® can allow patients to straighten their teeth without metal bands and wires. Invisalign® uses custom-made, nearly undetectable aligners that correct crowded or rotated teeth, teeth that are too far apart, or teeth that have shifted since wearing braces. Invisalign® has been proven effective in clinical research and dental and orthodontic offices nationwide.
Upon initial examination the doctors will determine if Invisalign® is right for you. The doctors will created a thorough treatment plan and take necessary records prior to beginning the Invisalign® process. Using the latest in advances in 3-D computer technology, Invisalign® carefully translates the doctor’s instructions into a series of precision customized aligners. Each aligner is worn for approximately two weeks, moving your teeth gently and gradually until we achieve your goal: straighter teeth. The visits are generally shorter than fixed braces and the treatment time is about the same or less. You can still enjoy your favorite foods and you can still brush and floss normally. The biggest benefit is the esthetics – no one can tell that you have braces. Invisalign® is an appropriate treatment option for teens and adults whose dentition is fully grown, including second molars.
